Pop Valet is a French automotive logistics company that supports rental companies, fleet managers and distribution networks in implementing logistics solutions for their vehicles across France. Founded in 2016, the company now relies on a nationwide network of around 7,500 drivers, known as "Valets." It carries out close to 50,000 vehicle transports a year, in France and internationally.
At Pop Valet, the share of electric vehicles among its missions has grown by more than 60% in a year, rising from 6.64% in June 2025 to 10.70% in June 2026. According to Director of Operations Benjamin Pozzi, this is far from a one-off spike:
This growth reflects a broader shift among our clients, who are electrifying their fleets faster than we anticipated a year ago.
To support this shift on the ground, Pop Valet partnered with Chargemap to equip its Valets with a roaming charging solution.
Valets already trained for electric vehicles
Pop Valet supports its clients through fleet electrification and trains its Valets on the specifics of electric vehicles: recognising plug types and charging power, using the right tools to locate reliable charging stations, planning routes in advance, and estimating the number of charging stops needed based on the vehicle's range.
The company's goal: for its Valets to handle electric vehicles "with the same level of reliability as a combustion vehicle."
Planning a route in advance doesn't always guarantee finding an available charging station once on the road.
How to charge once on the road?
Before this partnership, each Valet managed charging with their own tools. There was no harmonised method for locating a charging station that was available, functional, and suited to the vehicle in hand : the search relied on inconsistent, individual solutions.
The result on the ground: poorly planned routes, difficulty locating a reliable charging station at the right time, and sometimes critical situations when charging couldn't be completed in time. A direct pain point for a business where route reliability is the very promise of the job.
It was to close this last gap that Pop Valet partnered with Chargemap.
The Chargemap Pass comes into play
Through the partnership, Pop Valet drivers get access to the Chargemap Pass at a preferential rate.
The pass is highlighted at several key moments: during new Valets' onboarding, on the "partner benefits" page of the Pop Valet app, and in a practical charging guide distributed through training modules.
The process stays simple: the Valet goes to the "Partners" page of their Pop Valet account, via the mobile app or a computer, clicks on the Chargemap offer, and receives a promo code by email to apply directly on the Chargemap website when ordering their pass.
What the partnership changes in practice
For Pop Valet, the benefit plays out on several levels: tracking charging expenses is simplified (reimbursement on receipt), handling electric vehicles is made secure for all Valets with no added friction, and the offer strengthens Pop Valet's appeal, both for its Valets and for its increasingly electrified clients.
On the ground, the change comes down to one thing:
"Simplified access to a roaming charging network, without multiplying cards or apps, at an attractive rate." - Benjamin Pozzi, Director of Operations at Pop Valet
An electrification built to last
This partnership is part of Pop Valet's broader approach: supporting both its clients and its Valets through the shift to electric, without letting charging become a blocking point. A driver feedback review is planned at 3-6 months to measure the offer's real-world impact.
